L'atmosfera del crepuscolo pervade nella stanza con le imposte chiuse.
Ascolto il rumore della chiave che gira nella toppa.
Odo l'acqua che scorre dal rubinetto in cucina,
accompagnata dal rumore dei suoi passi.
ll cane sta bevendo dalla ciotola.
Spengo il computer e tace il suono della tastiera.
La quiete nella stanza incontra una soffusa leggerezza.
DRAWN BLINDS
The room is filled with dusk and the blinds are drawn.
I listen to the noise of a key turning in the lock.
I pick up the sound of the tap running in the sink and
I hear his footsteps.
The dog is drinking out of his water bowl.
I stop typing and turn off the beep of the keyboard.
The quietness of the room meets a diffused lighting.
